Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY;[1] born March 17 in 1988) is professionally known as Grimes is a Canadian musician as a singer, songwriter, recording producer, and singer. Initial work was classified as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4which draws influences from hip-hop, electronic and rock. The majority of her lyrics draw on science-fiction themes as well as feminist issues. Five albums have come out. Growing up in Vancouver (later relocated in Montreal), Grimes began publishing music during the latter half of 2000 she released two albums: Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa which were released in 2010, on Arbutus Records. The following year, she signed with 4AD and gained acclaim with the release of the third album of her studio, Visions, in 2012. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion", and was recognized with by the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. In the years following, the fourth album of her studio, Art Angels, was released in 2015 and received critical praise as several publications declared it to be the best album of 2015. In the year 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes is the judge for Alter Ego, a music contest. She also was part that of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
